“Turan” lyceum-school is a private school
which was established on the basis of “Turan” university in
1996. It is a part of educational corporation “Turan” which
comprises university, college and lyceum-school.
The school has its own secure territory
and a two-storey building with a lot of modern facilities
which include modern well-equipped classrooms each with
interactive whiteboard, computer rooms with free Internet
access, a library and extensive indoor and outdoor sports
facilities. These include a large new sports hall, a gym, a
dancing hall, sport pitches and playing fields.
Following the fine traditions of
private schools in Kazakhstan, the school-lyceum “Turan” has
adopted a philosophy of education which unlocks the
potential of all students by identifying strengths and
supporting areas of development.
“Turan” lyceum-school academic programme
is largely based on State Curriculum
plus lyceum component which includes a
variety of supplements: French, German, English languages,
the theory of creative problem solving, Choreography and
Gymnastics.
The school embraces the challenges of
modern education and provides for a high degree of
flexibility within its well-balanced curriculum.
Teaching staff: all our teachers
are highly qualified, 17 have honorary titles and degrees.
The
small class sizes (current average is less than 20) are a
very significant attraction to parents. This complements
the warm, friendly atmosphere for both children and staff
for which the school has rapidly become renowned.
“Turan” lyceum is situated in the centre of the biggest and
the most beautiful cities of Kazakhstan Almaty city.
Surrounded by spectacular view of the mountain range of
Alatau and being a cultural and financial centre of
Kazakhstan, the city Almaty is a perfect place for a
creation of an ideal environment of the development of the
personality. Being a school for children aged 6-18 “Turan”
lyceum has its own campus with an attractive location right
at the steps of the mountains within 30 minutes ride from
the city centre.
The
lyceum provides full time medical care and psychological
assistance for children.
The
school day starts at 08.30 and extends until 15.05. To
assist working parents we offer a Garderie provision until
17.00 each day in junior school. School transport is
provided.
Admission is possible at any time of the school year and
requires reports from previous schools and an interview.

“Turan” lyceum also
has its own center of preschool preparation for children
aged 5-6.
