In our time it is impossible to provide the educational
process without information and communication technologies.
Aiming to follow all the requirements to the modern school
“Turan” lyceum-school provides students with an extensive,
up-to-date material and technical base. There are more than
70 PCs, 15 interactive whiteboards, two projector screens
and other computer equipment. A local lyceum network, which
links all the school computers, is connected to the
Internet. The school has 2 computer rooms and 3 classrooms
with a set of personal computers for the students. As all
the teachers of the lyceum have qualified knowledge of
information technology, they widely apply it at their
lessons. The lyceum has a large base of electronic
textbooks, training programs and other digital demonstration
material, which is frequently used in the learning process.
The constantly expanding technical and material base, as
well as regular trainings for the teaching staff are of the
utmost importance for the development of our school.
The information technology classes are held for the pupils
from the first year and up to the final year at school. The
IT lessons comprise
word-processing, spreadsheet and database work. The pupils
study different software and learn how to make a
presentation, create a publication, use the Internet wisely
and write simple computer programs. The students and
teachers participate actively in local and international
projects and have different rewards.
The lyceum’s site is a constantly updated information
block. It includes information about open classes,
extracurricular activities, seminars and teachers' meetings.
Specialists of psychological and medical services (MPA) and
teachers keep "Advice for Parents," "Advice for disciples,"
etc sections. Visitors can find the answers on the issues of
training, development and upbringing of children.
The school also keeps an electronic calendar. The staff is
working on establishing of an electronic register as an
indispensable assistance for parents to be aware of
educational achievements of their children.
